Want to see top motorcycle racing stars, trials displays and 2009 off road motorcycles from a dozen top manufacturers plus a variety of kit from dozens of stands?
Well theres all this and much more at the Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry between Thursday, November 13 and Sunday, November 16.
This is the ninth year of the show and promises to be bigger and better than ever before with a host of top names from the world of on and off road racing plus trials stars of past and present.
The Dirt Bike Show is one of the first opportunities to feast your eyes on next years off road and quad bikes from manufacturers such as Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW and off-road specialists KTM, CCM and Gas Gas in hall 2.
Yamaha will be launching their new YZ250F and YZ450F motocross bikes plus two new sport quads, the TFZ450R and YFM250 WVTA on their stand.
Also on show will be the limited edition Monster Factory Team replica 2009 YZ450TR, of which only 100 are being made and individually numbered to commemorate their MX1 World Championship win with David Phillipaerts.
Kawasaki will be launching their new KXF250 and KXF450 four-stroke motocross bikes, which have received some changes for 2009 while Honda will be showing their all-new lightweight fuel injection CRF450R and CRF250R motocross machines.
Of course if youre tempted by any of the bikes on the manufacturer stands, youll also be looking for some new kit
US auto maker Ford Motor today reiterated that its $500-mn capacity expansion plans for India and launch of small car are well on track despite the slowdown squeezing the growth of Indian auto industry. We are committed to our investment plans which have been announced for India and there is no slowdown in this regard (in present circumstances), Ford India Private Ltd Executive Director Nigel E Wark told reporters here today. The company this year had announced to invest $500 mn for expanding the assembling capacity of cars from 1 lakh units to 2 lakh units and set up an engine manufacturing facility for 2.5 lakh units by 2010 in Chennai. With regard to launch of proposed small car for Indian market, he said the company is also committed to bring out small car by 2010. He acknowledged that the industry had witnessed reduction in demand for cars in view of several factors including credit crunch and further said that the major impact was visible in Tier I cities
